Khloé Kardashian Opens Up About Lamar Odom Marriage On Her Podcast
The Good American founder and the 45-year-old former NBA star were married between September 2009 to December 2016, with reports hinting that Odom’s drug addiction, in addition to alleged infidelities, was to blame for the split.
Khloé initially filed for divorce in 2013, but things came to a halt in 2015 after he had a near-fatal overdose in a Nevada brothel.
The mom-of-two made a very candid confession about her ex-husband’s addiction while speaking to motivational speaker and bestselling author Mel Robbins on her Khloé in Wonder Land podcast. And in true Khloé fashion, she did not hold back!

Khloé Says Lamar's Addiction Was 'Heightened' When He Wasn't Playing Basketball
Speaking about how the former Los Angeles Lakers star's addiction was "heightened" when he wasn't playing basketball, the Revenge Body host told her guest star: "I remember, I was married and my ex-husband had a drug addiction. And I knew that his addiction always heightened when he was in the off-season, cause idle time is the devil's playground."
Khloé then recalled the moment the former LA Clippers player was asked to join Team USA, but he wasn't as enthusiastic about the opportunity as she was. And that, according to Khloé, caused her to question the longevity of their marriage and ultimately choose to file for divorce.

Khloé said: "I remember he was asked to go to Team USA, if I remember correctly, and I was begging, 'Please, please go to Team USA,' and I was pushing, and I remember he just looked at me and said, 'You can't want it more than I do.' But I remember when he said, 'You can't want it more than me' and 'I don't want it' — it was so profound."
"It's so silly, 'cause I know that. But I wanted it so badly, because I wanted to help him and to get him to feel the motivation and feel good, but he just wasn't in that place," she continued.
Khloé then confessed: "That was a very pivotal moment in my life because I remember that statement being like…'Yeah, you're right. I can't want your life more than you.'"
