Season three of Hulu’s The Kardashians did not disappoint, as it was full of bombshells and shock confessions! Not only did Kylie Jenner admit to having a breast augmentation when she was just 19 years old on the season finale, but Khloé Kardashian also provided fans with one of the most memorable moments on the show too.
If you cast your minds back to episode nine which aired last month, you may remember that the 39-year-old Good American founder got emotional when talking about body image; more specifically, how negative comments from the public damaged her mental health and contributed to her lack of self-confidence. It was truly heartbreaking, and definitely one of the biggest moments from the entire season!
Khloé Kardashian Opens Up About Her Poor Body Image
The mom-of-two said that she was once the most confident out of all of her sisters, but had been “torn apart” by “society” when the family first found themselves in the public eye because she didn’t look like Kourtney or Kim. She said that this then led to her not feeling “good enough,” which is why she changed her appearance with cosmetic surgery.
"Society gave me insecurities," she told older sister Kourtney Kardashian Barker, 44, and younger sister Kylie Jenner, who turns 26 in just a few days. She went on to say that she "accumulated all of [my insecurities] from other people," adding that back in the day, she "had the most confidence."
She added: "I was chubby and in a skin-tight bodycon dress." Kourtney quickly interjected to say that she didn’t think her younger sister was "chubby," saying, “Also, I look back, you weren’t chubby," to which Khloé replied, "Well, I was, but it's fine." Speaking in the confessional, Khloé then explained: “I’ve been torn apart the minute that I’ve gone on TV. I didn’t look like my sisters, so therefore, it’s not good enough."
Khloé Kardashian Recalls The Moment Her Mom Told Her She Needed A Nose Job
Also in the show, Khloé, who shares five-year-old daughter True and 1-year-old son Tatum with Tristan Thompson, recalled how momager Kris Jenner said she needed a nose job when she was only nine years old. But even after she got a nose job and had other cosmetic treatments such as fillers, Khloé said the negative opinions and public scrutiny didn’t actually stop.
"When I started, whatever, changing my look, you get better makeup, you do fillers, you do whatever, I had a nose job, and there's still people constantly bullying you." She went on to say that you ultimately "have to do things for yourself" and not for other people. "Still, growing up in front of a camera, growing and evolving, and it’s unfair to put so much pressure on people," she concluded, adding, "I think we’re all just trying to do the best we can."
