Discussing quarantine related anxiety, Kim admitted to Khloe, “I feel like I had agoraphobia—definitely—after my robbery in Paris. Like, definitely would stay in, hated to go out. I didn’t want anyone to know where I was or be seen. I just had such anxiety,” she said. Agoraphobia is defined by Healthline as, “A type of anxiety disorder that causes people to avoid places and situations that might cause them to feel trapped, helpless, panicked, embarrassed and scared.”
Kim then admitted that the timeline of coming off of her Paris robbery made it difficult to deal with the anxiety, as quarantine struck just as she had begun to feel better. “I feel like I was just getting back into it. We had just gone to Paris. We had just started traveling, and then, quarantine happened. Now, I’m like such a freak all over again and never want to leave,” she told Khloe.
However, Khloe soothed her sister's concerns, voicing support for Kim as she continued to work through her anxiety from both situations. “I’m the biggest supporter of you not leaving your house. We don’t know what else is coming,” she said. “Just because things are opening up, doesn’t mean it’s safe. Protect yourself and your family at all costs.”
The clip was evidently filmed during the peak of Covid last year, but was released on July 14 by E! Kim has largely avoided discussing her 2016 Paris robbery in detail, sharing only that she struggled to “trust anyone” following the traumatic event. While it’s unclear where the 40-year-old reality star stands now with her agoraphobia, she has been spotted out and about a number of events in recent months looking poised and confident.
