Witnessing an advanced screening of the upcoming long-awaited Wicked film alongside the movie’s lead actresses, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, is a rare privilege. Kim Kardashian gave her 360 million Instagram followers a glimpse of this unique experience she shared with her family this week.

However, fans have criticized Grande, 31, Erivo, 37, Kardashian, 44, and Kris Jenner for their “horrendous” and opulent display, and for “flaunting” their wealth on social media.

On October 22nd, Kardashian chronicled the entire event on her IG Story, showcasing her home adorned in green and pink—the signature colors of the forthcoming film, which will be available to the general public on November 22nd.

Fans Slam Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Ariana Grande And More For Opulent Wicked Screening Display

The event began with pink balloons and extravagant floral decorations adorning Kardashian's front door. In a video for her Story, the SKIMS maven said: “I just came home and look what Cynthia and Ariana set up for us.”

As the reality star strolled through her house, she unveiled a green carpet dazzled with floral arrangements, pink balloons suspended from the ceiling, and a large cardboard cutout featuring the film's stars who couldn't be there in person, including Jonathan Bailey, Jeff Goldblum, and Michelle Yeoh.

Inside the house, sparkling green and pink drinks awaited alongside Elphaba and Glinda Barbies and Funko Pops, reserved exclusively for Kim's family.

The attendees included her sisters Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner, along with their children: True and Tatum Thompson, Penelope Disick, Stormi Webster, and Dream Kardashian, Rob's daughter.

"Momager" Kris Jenner was also present, as were Kim's own kids, North, Chicago, and Psalm West, whom she co-parents with her ex, Kanye West.

After Kim shared footage of the event, fans flocked to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their opinions. Many questioned why the Kardashians "deserved" this exclusive advance screening of Wicked.

Others criticized Kim for "showing off" her wealth and privilege. Some argued that, given several Kardashians are billionaires, the money spent on this lavish event could have been put to better use, benefiting "those in need."

Soon after Kim's post, one user tweeted: "The PR stunt that @wickedmovie did at Kim Kardashian’s house is utterly disgraceful. I will not pay a dime to see this movie now."

Another added: "Oh to be rich and famous," as someone else replied in a viral thread: "it took me about an hour to calm down from this now im pissed off again let me get off this app." An additional X user asked: "Who thought this was a good idea?" as one other noted: "Imagine if they did this for the least fortunate."

The SKKN mogul shared a photo of her entire family posing with Grande and Erivo on her Story and captioned it: "We laughed, we cried (a few times) and we loved it so much!"

She continued: "Thank you @arianagrande and @cynthiaerivo for watching @wickedmovie with us tonight." The Kardashians star also referred to the night as "the most magical pajama party" with her family donning PJ sets from her clothing line, SKIMS.
