The Kardashian sisters are getting some heat this week after an interview they did with Variety is going viral for all the wrong reasons. Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and their mother Kris all appeared in the most recent issue of the magazine, and when asked for their best advice for women in business, Kim declared, “Get your f—ing ass up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days.”

“You have to surround yourself with people that want to work,” the Skim’s founder continued. “Have a good work environment where everyone loves what they do, because you have one life. No toxic work environments, and show up and do the work.”
The 41-year-old Kardashian’s sister’s were all in agreement with the reality star, but fans were not as thrilled with the blunt and frankly tone deaf advice. Actress Jameela Jameel weighed in on Twitter, writing, “I think if you grew up in Beverly Hills with super successful parents in what was simply a smaller mansion … nobody needs to hear your thoughts on success/work ethic.”

Kardashian’s own former intern also spoke out on the clip, revealing that when she worked for the middle sister she was unpaid and expected to work excessive hours. In a now-private tweet shared by Daily Mail, the journalist wrote, “I worked my little ass off for free for Kimberly. So I better get some addendum in here saying “except Celene, she was amazing.””
Fans were also frustrated that Kim’s sister Kourtney was so quick to agree with her work advice when it was a well-known plotline for several seasons of KUWTK that the 42-year-old mother of three did not frequently like to work. Although the advice was likely meant to be useful, it once again just goes to show how far removed from reality the Kardashian’s and their family privilege are.
