Kim Kardashian didn’t let her broken foot interfere with her professional obligations, even though some critics claimed she was overextending herself. At the grand opening of her SKIMS flagship store in New York City last week, the reality star, 44, captured attention with a stunning outfit while riding a scooter.
The Kardashians star wore a deep–cut, zip-up strapless bustier corset, matched with leather pants. The SKKN mogul completed the ensemble with heeled PVC shoes, which gave her extra height despite using the mobility scooter to get around. Shortly after photos of her appearance surfaced on social media, many fans commented that Kardashian looked “different,” speculating that she might have used makeup on her lips in a new way, causing them to take a second look.

Kim Kardashian Turns Heads At Her NYC SKIMS Store Opening With ‘Different’ Look
As reported by The Daily Mail, several Kardashian fans headed to a social media thread to share their thoughts. “She did her lips in a new way,” one wrote, regarding her overlined, shiny, 90s-esque pout. Another added: “Kimmy went wild on her lips, they massive, but it looks cool.” Someone else pointed out that her “different” look might’ve been due to her hairstyle, as the mom of four wore her raven tresses and long fringe down at the event.
Another added: "She had bangs in her face, made her look like a different person." Someone else chimed in: "She was sweating from pushing that darn scooter around all night so honey had a flushed look, she was dewy."
At the party, Kardashian was accompanied by her fellow famous friends, such as Paris Hilton, Cardi B, Teyana Taylor and Ciara.
When a video of Kardashian riding her scooter with a broken foot surfaced online, it didn’t sit well with some people, leading critics to label her as “desperate for attention.”
One wrote: ""I feel a little embarrassed for her. I must admit." Someone else replied: "Wait, broken foot in high heels??" An additional user noted: "Such a pick-me. Why??? She is sooo desperate." One other harshly commented: "Attention seeker should be her title."
On December 12th, Kardashian marked the aforementioned grand opening of the new SKIMS store in the Big Apple with quite a collection of footwear for the special event.
Due to her injured foot, the American Horror Story actress was seen maneuvering her scooter outside the Fifth Avenue location. Initially wearing clear mules, she later opted for a more comfortable pair of Uggs.
