If you recall, the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star chose to celebrate her 40th birthday by flying “20-25” of her nearest and dearest to a still-unknown tropical location.
The KKW Beauty founder posted about the festivities for her milestone birthday on Instagram on October 26th--immediately drawing ire from the internet.
The mom of North, Saint, Psalm and Chicago posted several photos from her party to the platform this week, showing the group huddled close together and without wearing masks. Guests included sisters Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and brother Rob Kardashian, as well as friends Scott Disick, La La Anthony and Simon Huck.

In the caption, Kim asserted that she had asked all of her guests to quarantine and undergo several health screens before she surprised them by flying them to a private island.
Rather than social distancing and practicing the protocols outlined for the rest of us by the CDC, Kim's close group was seen bike-riding, swimming and sunbathing together, and locking arms in tiny string bikinis. Yikes--another case of Kim being completely tone deaf to what's going on in the world.

"After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time," she wrote on Twitter.
"We danced, rode bikes, swam near whales, kayaked, watched a movie on the beach and so much more," she explained.
After the backlash, Kim's sister Khloe appeared on the Ellen Degeneres Show this week and was forced to defend the family's decision.
“All of the precautions and everything that we took and being there and how grateful everyone was for the tourist aspect of it — so many people said that we were their first party or guests that they’ve had in months and what it’s done for them to be able to pay their bills or do stuff for their family. Just hearing those messages when we were there, we felt really good,” she defended on the show. “And we did it in the safest way I could imagine someone doing it. It was such a beautiful experience and I want Kim to focus on how beautiful it was and what she did for everybody. I don’t want that to overshadow the greatness that happened.”
