Kanye West didn’t hold back in his explosive tell-all interview with Jason Lee for Hollywood Unlocked; but the biggest topic of discussion was definitely Kim Kardashian’s sex tape. No, not the one which was filmed in 2002 and then released in 2007, but in fact, according to the 44-year-old Yeezy designer, a second one that the world knew nothing about! Akin to the infamous first sex tape, the alleged second tape was also filmed by Kim’s ex-boyfriend Ray J, but according to Ye, it never got to see the light of day due to his own intervention. Wow!
The topic of the alleged second sex tape was brought up after the “My Life Was Never Eazy” rapper discussed the 41-year-old SKIMS founder’s behavior when she hosted Saturday Night Live in October last year, in particular, her kissing her now official boyfriend Pete Davidson while they were performing a sketch and pretending to be Aladdin and Princess Jasmine. In Ye’s eyes, he didn’t feel like his estranged ex wife respected him, given the lengths he once went to in order to retrieve the alleged sex tape and ensure it never got out.
“How you gonna bring me to SNL and kiss the dude you’re dating right in front of me? And everybody’s like, ‘Oh that’s cool,'” Kanye told Lee in the interview, before adding that the KKW Beauty founder “cried” when she saw the tape.
“After I went and got the laptop from Ray J myself that night and then got on a red-eye. I met this man at the airport, and got on a red-eye, came back and delivered it to her at 8 a.m. in the morning. And then, I gave it to her and she cried when she saw it. You know why she cried when she saw the laptop? Cause it represents how much she’s been used. It represents how much people didn’t love her and they just saw her as a commodity.”
So how did Kim respond to her ex's allegations? According to the mom-of-four's rep, things aren’t exactly the way Kanye made out in the interview – especially as far as the nature of the content on the retrieved laptop was concerned! According to Kim's people, the laptop containing footage of the former couple does indeed exist, but the nature of its content is innocent and not explicit, and certainly not what Kanye is suggesting. "The computer and hard drive collected were supposed to contain the original video and any unseen footage. After review, there was nothing sexual unseen, only footage on the plane on the way to Mexico and footage at a club and restaurant on the same trip," a spokesperson for Kim told Page Six.
"Kim remains firm in her belief that there is no new second tape that exists. After 20 years, she truly wishes to move on from this chapter with focus instead on the positive things she continues to do as a mother, entrepreneur and advocate for justice reform." The 41-year-old "Party's Over" singer has also responded to the scandal with a short and to the point message which was posted on his Twitter page on Wednesday, January 26th, reading: "This needs to stop. I also have kids."
