While Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson‘s budding romance continues to warm the hearts of many fans, it also frequently sparks debate from others, most recently with the idea of the latter tattooing the former’s name to his body. The reality star, 41 stopped by The Ellen Show this week and told host Ellen DeGeneres that her new beau, 28, might have something more committed dedicated to her… as well as (what some fans deemed inevitable), specific tattoos in her honor.
“He has a few tattoos. A few cutes one that he got,” she said. “The Kim one isn’t a tattoo. It’s actually a branding. Like, a … branding.” She added, “He wanted to do something that was really different.” Different indeed! After DeGeneres appeared shocked, Kardashian elaborated on why the Saturday Night Live star would undergo such an elaborate body modification process.

“I just think he was like, ‘I want something that’s there that I can’t get rid of,'” Kardashian said. “‘Cause he’s in the process of getting rid of his arm tats and his neck tats. So he’s like, ‘I don’t want to be able to get rid of it or to cover it up, and I just wanted it, like, there as, like, a scar.'”
And it doesn’t stop there! The SKIMS mogul also noted that Davidson does indeed have two other tattoos just for her. “First tattoo he got, I was like, ‘Oh, so cute, thank you, oh, my God.’ Second, whatever, ‘Oh, that’s so cute,'” she continued. “But that’s what tattoo people do, right? Like, they get tattoos of what’s going on in their life. Am I special?”
Kardashian also revealed which tattoo impressed her the most, as it sweetly pays homage to her career aspirations. She clarified that her boyfriend has “a little more than” three tattoos inspired by her. “The other ones are, like, cutesy things,” she said. “I think my favorite one, it says here [pointing to her collarbone], ‘My girl is a lawyer.’ And that one’s really cute.”

She also spoke about the idea of going Instagram-official with Davidson, and how she didn’t know social media etiquette in the dating world after being married since the inception of the photo-sharing app. “I have the cutest pictures of us, and I wanted to be like, ‘Oh, my God, we’re so cute.’ But then I’m like, ‘You know, don’t be so desperate, don’t be posting so much. Just give a glimpse,'” she said. “I don’t know what the right thing to do is. Like, I haven’t dated since before Instagram existed. I don’t know what the rules are.”
Overall, Kardashian and DeGeneres centered the conversation on her current happiness, what Davidson brings to her life and how she is promoting this current joyful era of her life. “I encourage my friends and the people I love to be happy, and I went for it. I was like, you know what, I’m in my 40s, f—k it,” she added. “Just go for it. Find your happiness. I went for it. And I took my time and I found it, and it feels so good. And I want to hold onto that forever.” (Like how Davidson will hold onto that branding!)
