Kim Kardashian is no stranger to causing a stir with the things she wears, says, and posts online. And she has just angered the internet once again, this time thanks to her latest futuristic-themed photoshoot featuring Tesla’s Cybertruck and its humanoid robot, Optimus.
The pictures appeared in last month’s issue of Perfect magazine, but were reportedly shot in Malibu last year, before the backlash against Tesla really took off. Check some of them out here.
Kim Kardashian Causes A Stir For Posing With Tesla’s Cybertruck And Humanoid Robot
The 44-year-old Skims founder shared the pictures, which were taken by renowned New York based photographer Steven Klein, with her 357M Instagram followers on Friday, March 14th via separate posts.
In one of the photos, the mom-of-four can be seen standing in the bed of the Cybertruck and leaning back to strike a fierce pose. In another picture, the Kardashians star is standing next to the robot and taking a selfie with it, while in another, she can be seen lying on a sun lounger next to the robot, who is also on its own sun lounger.
Elon Musk And Tesla Continue To Face Criticism
Kim's fans took to social media to slam her for participating in the shoot, referencing the ongoing backlash surrounding Tesla and its CEO, Elon Musk. Musk has faced a lot of criticism for his controversial political statements on social media lately, while Tesla has come under fire for its alleged treatment of workers and concerns over workplace safety.
Although many still admire Tesla's innovation and cutting-edge technology, these issues have caused some former fans to distance themselves from the brand – and from anyone promoting it.

Fan Comments
Kim also faced criticism for her Tesla photoshoot that she shared with her Instagram followers in November last year – see above – and her latest one faced just as much, if not more!
"You really will do anything for money," slammed one fan in the comment section of Kim's March 2025 Instagram post. "Literally Kim… what are you doing?" asked a second unimpressed fan, as a third said: "Big mistake, girl. Now you're getting boycotted."
"Are you stupid?" asked a fourth fan, as a fifth exclaimed: " Omg… what a disaster!" "I love it when celebrities show they have absolutely no morals," added a sixth. "Shameful," wrote another critic. "Utter disgrace," added another, as many others threatened to boycott Kim and her products.
"I will NEVER buy your products again. Your soul is so cheap!" exclaimed one (we assume former) fan. "Never buying Skims again," echoed another, as another concurred: "I will NEVER watch The Kardashians again!" "Done with you and all the Kardashians," stated another.
