Kim Kardashian recently got candid about the challenges of parenting her child with a learning disability. Her 11-year-old daughter, North West, has been diagnosed with dyslexia.

The SKIMS mogul, 43, posted a video on her Instagram Story last month featuring her friend Lauren Sánchez discussing her children’s book, The Fly Who Flew to Space, on The View. During the segment, Sánchez, 54, also talked about her own experiences growing up with dyslexia.

"I realized after I wrote the story, I was like, this is about my son, who has dyslexia," Sánchez said.

She added: "I get teared up every time I talk about this, so I'm sorry. But it's really me— I grew up dyslexic, not knowing I had it. I couldn't read. I was a sweet little girl, and I sat in the back of the class, and they kind of just pushed me along."

The Kardashians star wrote in her upload: "I'm reposting this not bc she's my friend and I love her, but because every mom who has struggled with their kids with dyslexia or any learning difference needs to hear that it will be okay."

During a TikTok livestream last year, Kardashian's oldest daughter disclosed her diagnosis. "Guys, I have dyslexia. Do you even know what that is?" she said in the clip.

Kardashian shares North (and her three other children; Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5) with her ex Kanye 'Ye' West.  In the aforementioned TikTok video, the SKKN founder told North: "Northie, you sure are spilling the tea on here," before asking her to end the livestream.

Kardashian went on: "you are just saying way too much. I purposely don't talk about stuff that you are going through."
