Kim Kardashian recently posted a series of throwback photos to Instagram in celebration of a longtime friend’s birthday—and the images of the “old her” are almost unrecognizable!
The The Kardashians star, 43, posted the nostalgic snaps to her Instagram Story last week in honor of friend Ash Kassan, who is pictured in the photos alongside Kim. The pics are from Kim’s life before the Keeping Up with the Kardashians family exploded into the spotlight.
Kim's Past Pics Show A 'Natural' Look
It's hard to recognize the usually glammed-out entrepreneur in the photos, which appear to be from the early 2000s. Though dressed-up in full hair and makeup, Kim looks incredibly different in the throwback images when compared to her look today.
"Happy Birthday @ashkassan I love you so much!!! #Lifers," wrote Kim in one photo caption. In another, she referenced a love for posing for the camera: "You will forever be my fave partner to put on makeup and take pics in our backyard."
Another image posted for the occasion was captioned, "You showed me how much I did not want to go to college and party," and a fourth spoke to her longtime relationship with Ash, calling her friend "the positive light to the Lifers" and thanked her for giving "the best parenting and life advice." The series of photos ended with the caption, "Love you!"
Throwback Photos Proof Of Plastic Surgery?
The Skims CEO has been followed by speculation that she's gotten plastic surgery for almost as long as she's been in the public eye. A recent TikTok video had fans theorizing that Kim had recently augmented her "nose and lips"—"Yikes," said one Redditor, "It's for sure new."Another agreed: "They definitely look different."

Kim hasn't said much about the speculation, but did share a side-by-side image of herself at 14 with a recent photo to social media, in an apparent comment on the rumors. It's worth noting that both images look like pretty much the same face. Her ages in the images are written on the pictures, and the Instagram Story is simply captioned, "lol."

The Instagram account @CelebFace recently posted their own comparison of an older and more recent photo of Kim, and fans were certain that the post proved the rumors were true: "Kim K’s new nose looks the most natural. Her surgeon killed it," said a commenter on the post. Kim has denied ever getting plastic surgery as recently as last year, in an interview with Allure.
