Whether or not Kim Kardashian got plastic surgery in recent years has felt like the eternal question among fans. After she posted up-close photoshoot pics of her face last week on Instagram, many are reexamining her features and debating what looks different, even though she denies undergoing the knife in that regard.
The beauty mogul, 42, uploaded shots of herself in a carousel post for her 353 million followers, showing new images from a shoot for her skincare line, SKKN. The 4-part slideshow post included several stunning pics, 3 of her face and one full-body shot.

Analyzing Kim Kardashian’s Latest Photos: Did She Get Plastic Surgery?
Kardashian captioned the April 23rd post in question, “light glam,” with a sparkle emoji, adding, “skin prep w @skkn.” The first image was a sideways, close-up pic that showed off her symmetrical face, voluminous lashes, high cheekbones and full glossy lips. The second was another close-up, this time with a slightly off-to-the-side pov and with the same golden hue as the previous one.
The third showed Kardashian’s face at a more zoomed-out angle, but with rosier cheeks and a darker brown background. In all three shots, she wore her long, shiny black tresses and wispy curtain bangs down, parted in the center. The fourth and final pic was a full-body one, with the mom of four posing on a brown couch with her legs crossed. She donned her trademark skintight shapewear.

While many comments praised the Kardashians star’s beauty, there were plenty of messages that questioned what she might have “got done” recently in terms of plastic surgery. “Gorgeous. Something is different but gorg,” one wrote. Another added, “debuting a new face i see kimmy” as one other commented, “I would give every cent I have to see the un-retouched versions.”
As for what might be different, someone else replied, “New chin and lips? What’s different??” Another added, “Lips are bigger” as someone else wrote, “too bad these aren’t reality.” Others pointed out that the difference could be because of a filter that Kardashian used. “Why you using filter on your pics?” one fan asked as another agreed, “We all look good with filters. Good lord.”

What Kardashian Has Said About Plastic Surgery
As many fans note, there’s no denying that Kardashian’s face and body have changed throughout her time in the spotlight and rise to fame, and ever since Keeping Up With The Kardashians aired its very first episode in 2007. Although there has been so much said about the businesswoman’s potential plastic surgery, she hasn’t had much to note on the topic itself.

Notably, Kardashian sat down with Allure last year after she sparked controversy for wearing an iconic gown first worn by Marilyn Monroe to the 2022 Met Gala. She opened up about her weight loss to fit into the dress, and shut down rumors that claimed she ever got plastic surgery.

Kardashian admitted to getting “a little bit of Botox,” after being asked about cosmetic alterations she has had for her face. She then clarified in the interview published in August 2022 that she has “no filler” in her cheeks or lips. She added, “Never filled either one, ever. I’ve never filled my cheeks. I’ve never filled my lips … My eyebrows are real.”

The SKIMS founder ultimately explained that she has had less work done than many might presume. She emphasized that she has only ever received Botox treatments in-between her eyebrows, and was adamant about this being the only surgical procedure she pursued for her face. She also noted that she has never used eyelash extensions. “I have a drop of mascara on today,” Kardashian said.

“I’ve chilled, actually,” Kardashian continued regarding Botox procedures. The KKW Beauty icon discussed pressure to prioritize her appearance: “I care. I really, genuinely care about looking good. I probably care more than 90 percent of the people on this planet.”
She added, “It’s not easy when you’re a mom and you’re exhausted at the end of the day or you’re in school, and I’m all of the above. I do my beauty treatments usually late at night. After everyone’s in bed, I’m doing laser treatments.”

Naturally, fans and even plastic surgeons on Twitter reacted to her interview at the time, with some “doubting” that her claims of no cheek or lip filler were “accurate.” As one other user pointed out, Botox might be all Kardashian will “admit to,” but the idea of “her valuing looking perfect” or “promoting her as perfect” can still create “unrealistic beauty standards” overall.
