Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s ongoing feud with the royal family has affected many people – none more so than King Charles III.

According to a royal author, the King, 75, has become “exasperated” with the feud between his older son Prince William and his younger son Prince Harry. And although he found himself in the middle of the two feuding brothers on several occasions, he reportedly now wants to dedicate his time to other things and simply focus on his duties as monarch, not to mention focus on recovering from cancer.

King Charles Is 'Exasperated' With Royal Feud

"Of course, the King is extremely sad about Harry and Meghan, but there is a sense of exasperation, that he has done what he can and now he is king, there are many more things to think about," royal author Robert Hardman told The Mirror.

Hardman went on to say that the monarch has tried to fix the royal feud on several occasions over the years, but has now decided to take a step back for his own mental and physical health. Hardman added: "He has reached a point where he says, 'I don't want to know what the problem is. I'm just getting on with my life.'"

This seems to echo a recent report in the Daily Mail, which claimed that the situation between Prince Harry and his father has been "complicated" by "Harry's repeated attacks on his father and family and his dogged insistence in the U.K. courts that he isn't safe bringing his family to the U.K."

Prince William Is Reportedly 'Adamant' About Permanently Excluding Prince Harry

The Prince of Wales has taken a much harder stance as far as his feud with his brother is concerned; especially after he trashed the royal family, including Kate Middleton, in his bombshell memoir, Spare.

If we are to believe royal expert Michael Cole, Prince William is "adamant" about not allowing Prince Harry back into the royal family, regardless of whether he apologizes, as him slamming the Princess of Wales was unforgivable.

"There's going to be no softening of his adamantine response to what he's done," Cole told GB News. "He's done the unthinkable," Cole continued, adding: "In this life, most men can put up with insults, it happens. You get insulted. What they cannot put up with are two things that they cannot abide by. Their driving ability, and they certainly cannot allow their wife to be criticized."
