King Charles‘ nephew has spoken out about his uncle’s cancer battle in a candid interview with Sky News Australia. And it’s the most detailed insight a family member has given about the monarch’s health battle since his cancer diagnosis was revealed last month.
In the interview, which took place on March 24th, Peter Phillips, 46, explained that his uncle is “in good spirits” but is “hugely frustrated” that his cancer battle is slowing him down. We know that King Charles, 75, is an exceptionally hard worker, so we understand why he isn’t happy that he can’t do everything he wants to do!
“I think, ultimately, he’s hugely frustrated,” Phillips, who is the son of King Charles’ sister, Princess Anne, revealed in the interview.
‘He’s frustrated that he can’t get on and do everything that he wants to be able to do,” the father-of-two continued, adding: “But he’s very pragmatic. He understands that there’s a period of time that he really needs to focus on himself.”
Phillips was visiting Australia as a patron of the charity ISPS Handa, which supports disabled athletes; and he predicted that his uncle wants to get back to his royal duties as soon as possible!
