King Charles really does want Christmas 2024 to be the biggest and best one yet, as he is seemingly going all out with the plans and guest list.

And according to reports, the 76-year-old monarch is also extending an invitation to Queen Camilla‘s son Tom Parker-Bowles. However, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their two children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are still very much excluded from the festivities.

Tom Parker-Bowles Reveals He Will Be Spending Christmas At Sandringham

The news that Tom Parker-Bowles would be spending Christmas at Sandringham was revealed by the monarch's stepson himself in an interview with The Telegraph.

He explained that his mother, 77, wanted him to spend the holidays with the royal family due to their ongoing health issues, which have included King Charles' cancer battle and her own battle with a chest infection, which has since been revealed was due to a form of pneumonia.

"My mom said, 'I'd love you to come, I haven't had Christmas with you for a long time,'" the 49-year-old British food writer and critic revealed, before hinting that it's likely that he will indeed accept the invitation this year.

"It has been a hell of a two years for them," he continued, adding: "The older you get, the more conscious you become of mortality, especially with illnesses and the rest of it."

The Cooking and the Crown author went on to say that spending Christmas with the royal family would be a huge change of scenery for him and his family, which includes ex-wife Sara Parker-Bowles and their two children, Lola, 17, and Frederick, 14.

"For the past 15 years, it has been: I go back to my ex-wife's house, sit in my tracksuit bottoms, go to the pub while the beef's in, then try to get my children to watch The Wild Geese. Classic," he confessed, adding: "So, this would be a bit different."
