Although Kate Middleton is reportedly working hard to reunite Prince Harry with his estranged brother, Prince William, and father, King Charles, it doesn’t seem like it’s paying off at the moment. At least if a comment the monarch recently made to the media is anything to go by!
King Charles made a rare comment about Prince Harry’s Invictus Games earlier this month, and it definitely hinted that their relationship is still very fractured, and a royal reunion is nowhere in sight.

King Charles Makes Rare Comment About Prince Harry's Invictus Games
King Charles spoke with David Henson, a former British Army captain and Paralympic athlete, during an event at the Imperial College London's Center for Injury Studies.
The King reportedly asked Henson, pictured above: "Are you still taking part in games and sports?" Henson replied by mentioning the Invictus Games, which were founded by the Duke of Sussex back in 2014, and said: "So I'm a touch too old, I think. I did the Invictus Games in 2014 and 2016, Paralympics in 2016 and I stayed one of the trustees of the Invictus Games until the end of 2023 – so I've certainly been involved with it. I'm back in the defence industry now."
King Charles then gave a very brief, one word reply, saying: "Fantastic." Nothing more, nothing less. This response, or lack thereof, has royal experts believing that the feud between Prince Harry (and of course, Meghan Markle) and the royal family is still very much ongoing, as King Charles seemingly didn't want to discuss his son or his achievements any more than he had to!

Royal Experts Call King Charles' Comment A 'Missed Opportunity'
King Charles' response was discussed on Roya Nikkhah and Kate Mansey's The Royals with Roya and Kate podcast, with the co-hosts hinting that his brief comment would have likely upset the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, especially as they are reportedly trying to get back in with the royal family.
"It was a missed occasion for the King to acknowledge the Invictus Games, especially considering their origin and the key role Harry played," they reportedly said.

"Now that could have been an opportunity for the King to say, 'Oh yes, they're marvelous,' or whatever that might be. But he just let that comment go and the conversation continued and the King didn't pick up on that at all," they continued on the podcast.
They added: "So, I thought that was really interesting, that that was an opportunity for the King to acknowledge the Invictus Games with somebody who was front and centre of it when it first started, and has been a kind of pin-up for rehabilitation and getting up and getting on with his life and doing incredible things despite having life-threatening, life-altering injuries… That was quite telling, the King just sort of didn't acknowledge the (Invictus) games at all."
