King Charles Reportedly Advised Prince William To Prioritize His Family Over Work

According to royal author Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, the Prince and Princess of Wales may have King Charles to thank for their happy marriage, as he gave his eldest son some solid advice before he and Kate tied the knot in 2011.

The monarch reportedly advised his heir to prioritize his relationship with his own family over work, which is seemingly advice he wished he had followed when he was younger.

"[His father] said, 'Look, William, there's nothing more important than your family,'" the My Mother and I author told Fox News Digital.

Seward then told the pub that the King went on to caution his son, saying: "Don't make the mistakes that I made." Seward then claimed that the monarch, who married the late Princess Diana in 1981 and Camilla Parker-Bowles in 2005, added: "I just did duty, duty, duty. I neglected my marriage, and look what happened."
