King Charles and Queen Camilla may seem like a wonderful couple who have been happily married since 2005; but just like most spouses, they reportedly have their differences too.

According to reports, Queen Camilla’s sister Annabel Elliot confirmed that things aren’t always rosy with the King and Queen Consort behind closed doors, and she has confessed that her sister and brother-in-law are in actual fact, “polar opposites.” But that doesn’t seem to affect their marriage too much, if we are to believe Elliot, as all of their disagreements are said to be quite light-hearted.

King Charles And Queen Camilla Reportedly Argue Over The Windows Being Open

The King and Queen Consort's marriage was discussed in Robert Hardman's book King Charles: New King. New Court. The Inside Story, with the royal author writing about one particular disagreement they always tend to have. And according to Elliot's recollection, it's about opening and closing the window!

"There's a constant battle about it. He will have opened it. She will creep in behind and shut it," Elliot said, according to Hardman's book. "So there's a lot of: 'Oh, darling, you shut the window,' 'Yes, I have, because we're all freezing.' So a lot of banter goes on."

Elliot confirmed that King Charles "usually wins on that front," in reference to having the windows open, but the Queen Consort "wins most other things."

King Charles' former Communications Secretary Julian Payne, who worked for him and Queen Camilla for five years, previously wrote in The Sun that the monarch is very fond of fresh air, and doesn't even let plummeting temperatures stop him from wanting the windows open in his home.

"The King dislikes being inside for too long and always has the windows wide open. A meeting at Birkhall, his home in the Highlands, in the middle of winter was not for the faint-hearted," he joked at the time, adding: "I can remember more than one occasion when I thought I might have actually got frostbite while trying to write with a hand I could no longer feel."
