Other reports claim that isn’t the whole story, as their lives are said to be far more separate than just their sleeping arrangements, with their relationship described as more of a marriage of convenience and appearances. Claims that the couple live largely separate lives – and are practically divorced – were further fuelled when an insider revealed that King Charles spends much of his time at Clarence House, while Queen Camilla stays at Ray Mill House in Wiltshire.

The King may not have the same controversial 'entitled' reputation as his disgraced younger brother, ex-Prince Andrew, but he is said to have a very particular set of requirements when it comes to his sleeping arrangements while away from home. According to reports, the monarch likes to recreate his bedroom from home in meticulous detail wherever he stays... and it seems like Queen Camilla follows suit too!
Hello! claims they both travel with a "truckload" of their furniture to achieve this, including personal items such as bedsheets, toilet seats, food, drinks, utensils, and artworks. It's even been reported that the King travels with paintings of the Scottish Highlands, as he reportedly likes them surrounding him as he sleeps. Wow!

Royal biographer Tom Bower touched on this in his book Rebel King, where he recalled that the monarch once "sent his staff ahead a day early with a truck carrying furniture to replace the perfectly appropriate fittings in the guest rooms." He added that the truck "contained nothing less than Charles and Camilla's complete bedrooms."
Bower reiterated that the King likes to travel with his own toilet seat and "Kleenex Premium Comfort lavatory paper," while both his and Camilla's rooms are reportedly stocked with "Laphroaig whisky and bottled water."
This echoes claims made by royal biographer Tina Brown in her book The Palace Papers, where she highlighted how particular King Charles could be compared to his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
"Unlike the Queen, who always ate what she was served, the prince stipulated his menu preferences upfront, and sometimes arrived at dinner with his protection officer bearing a martini premixed and ready to be handed to the butler and served in his own glass," she wrote.
