Prince William has seemingly made it quite clear that he doesn’t want to meet with younger brother Prince Harry when he briefly comes to the U.K. this month – but where does their father King Charles stand?

Things seem to be a little better between the King and his youngest son, as Prince Harry flew from his home in Montecito, California to the U.K. as soon as he learned of his father’s cancer diagnosis and paid him a visit. Their meeting back in February was very brief, however, with the visit reportedly lasting between 30 and 45 minutes, before King Charles and Queen Camilla left to fly to Sandringham via helicopter.

However, if Prince Harry is hoping for a meeting with his father when he comes to the U.K. for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8th, he may have his hopes dashed, as the King may actually be too busy to meet with him. Although King Charles is cutting back on public duties as he seeks treatment for cancer, there are still many events in his schedule, including his weekly audience with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and the first Buckingham Palace garden party of the season.

King Charles May Be Too Busy To Meet With Prince Harry

According to a Monday, April 29th article in The Telegraph, King Charles' very hectic schedule may not permit him to meet up with his son when he flies into the U.K. The best Prince Harry can hope for, according to the pub, is a very "brief" meeting, perhaps similar to – or maybe even shorter than – their previous meeting.

"The King is happy to spend time with his youngest son but will remain guarded to protect the people that he loves and who have shown him unconditional loyalty," Kinsey Schofield, host of the To Di For Daily podcast, told Fox News Digital when talking about a potential meeting between the father and son. She added: "Harry will always have access to his father, but the trust is long gone."

How Long Will Prince Harry Be In The UK?

According to reports, the Duke of Sussex could end up extending his trip to the U.K. by a few days. Him coming a little earlier than planned is reportedly out of the question though, as he wants to be in the U.S. for his and Meghan Markle's son Prince Archie's fifth birthday on May 6th. If you'll recall, Prince Harry was in the U.K. for most of his son's fourth birthday, as it was the same day as King Charles' coronation. Prince Harry attended part of the coronation, before leaving abruptly to try and make the rest of his son's birthday.

The Telegraph has suggested that the father-of-two could very well stay a few extra days – although not too many, as he and Meghan are heading to Nigeria later this month – in the hopes of meeting with estranged brother Prince William, who may or may not be willing to meet. Other things Prince Harry could potentially do during his time in the U.K. is meet with representatives from some of the U.K. charities he supports, including WellChild, the Diana Award, and Scotty's Little Soldiers.
