Kourtney Kardashian has had quite the transformation over the years – and we’re not just talking about her new platinum blonde hair and her new obsession with punk rock clothing!
We’ve already talked about the mom-of-three’s face transformation and some of the subtle work the internet thinks she may have had done. We’ve also mentioned the 43-year-old Lemme founder’s hair transformation, which really took us by surprise when she copied younger sister Kim Kardashian and dyed her almost permanently-jet-black locks a platinum shade of blonde. (Which still looks incredible, may we add!) But what about her body transformation?
Kourtney Kardashian Then And Now
Unlike her two younger sisters Kim, 42, and Khloé Kardashian, 38, who seem to keep losing weight as the days go on, Kourtney has appeared to maintain her weight throughout the years, only seemingly gaining weight when she was pregnant with Mason, 13, Penelope, 10, and Reign, 10, who she shares with ex Scott Disick.
She once confessed that her pregnancies led her to gain 40 pounds almost exactly each time, and she didn’t seem to have that hard a time getting back to her pre-baby self afterwards. However, her recent IVF journey with new husband Travis Barker has caused her weight to go up slightly, leading to what she has described as a "thicker" body. Let's take a look at how her body has changed over the years…
Kourtney Kardashian Pregnant
Kourtney proved that the pregnancy glow was real when she was expecting her and Scott Disick's son, Mason, back in 2009. And she also proved that some people just (rather unfairly, may we add) bounce back to their pre-baby weight quite quickly after giving birth.
So how did Kourtney do it? "I wasn’t into intense workouts when I got pregnant with Mason, and I wasn’t using a trainer at the time," Kourtney wrote in a Poosh article back in May 2020, adding, "I was very into running, usually a quick two to three-mile run with some good music in my neighborhood, combined with some at-home workouts and uphill walks with the stroller."
Kourtney confessed that she "gained exactly 40 pounds" while pregnant with her three children, although she said she lost the weight in different ways. She said that she breast-fed Mason, her firstborn, saying "it burns around 700 calories each feeding."
When daughter Penelope arrived in 2012, Kourtney said she stuck to "mellow workouts and a lot of yoga," which must have worked well as she said she did the same thing when Reign was born two years later. And the pictures definitely prove that her methods worked!
Kourtney Kardashian's Post-Pregnancy Body
After her three children were born, Kourtney was unstoppable as she flaunted her enviably toned figure in everything from barely-there crop tops and mini skirts to sleek dresses on red carpets, on social media, and more.
In June 2019, Kourtney said that she credited Keto for her body back in 2016, saying: "My body never looked better than when I did the keto diet two and half years ago, when I did it for two months. In my experience, I’ve found the best method to train my body to curb sugar cravings, burn fat and kick-start weight loss is by sticking to a keto diet."
Kourtney Kardashian's Body Transformation
Kourtney's biggest transformation has happened since falling in love with and marrying Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, as she got everything from a new wardrobe to a new hair color. However, the biggest transformation has been with Kourtney's body, as she confessed to gaining 20 lbs while undergoing IVF so she and Travis could expand their brood and have a baby of their own.
Kourtney talked about her post-IVF body on an episode of The Kardashians last year, ultimately concluding that both she and her husband "love" her new body. "So obviously my body’s changed. But it was all of the hormones that the doctors put me on," she confessed on the show. "Eight months of IVF treatment has definitely taken a toll on my body mentally and physically. I think it’s taken me a lot to get me to the place of feeling really comfortable and happy with the changes."

She briefly explained that negative social media comments about her weight, including fans constantly thinking she is pregnant because of it, had taken a toll on her mental health, but Travis helped her be "so into" her new body. "Every day, Travis is like, 'You’re perfect,'" she said. "If I make one complaint, he’s like, 'You’re perfect. You’re so fine… You’ve never been better.' Having a partner who is so supportive of me and always complimenting me, no matter what, it’s just helped me to really embrace the changes and actually to the point where I love the changes now." Aww!
