Kris Jenner is being criticized for potentially applying a heavy filter to a video of herself, which was recorded after she got professional makeup done. The reality star, 67, posed for her makeup artist, Samer Khouzami, who displayed his work on Instagram.
In the August 28th post, Jenner can be seen exhibiting her glamorous look for the day while smiling for the camera, as an audio clip from her family’s Hulu show The Kardashians played in the background. She sported a polka dotted, button-down top, glittery silver hoop earrings, and her signature tousled bob. As for her glam, the mom of six went for smokey eye makeup with lengthy lashes and skillful eyeliner. Her artist added radiant blush and a glossy pink lip.
Nonetheless, Jenner’s face was noticeably free from any imperfections, devoid of wrinkles or blemishes. Fans headed to the post’s comment section to share their thoughts. “This filter is tooooo much. You aren’t fooling anyone. Ridiculous,” one wrote. Someone else added in response on Reddit: “Omg what is this! It’s so bad it looks like AI.”
Another user on Instagram wrote after seeing the clip: “What the hell is happening that’s not her face.” One other replied: “Idk but it’s scary.” Furthermore, another individual stated: “This is the stuff that perpetuates body dysmorphia as Kris sees this video and then looks at her face in the mirror and it doesn’t match.”
This also isn’t the first time that Jenner has been accused of digitally altering photos that she’s shared with her 52.7 million followers. There have long been rumors circulating among fans that “momager” Jenner and her daughters may have undergone secretive cosmetic procedures. This includes Kourtney, Kim and Khloé Kardashian, as well as Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
Additionally, fans and critics have suggested that the family may also be using various filters and photo editing software, such as PhotoShop and FaceTune, when posting pictures for their extensive online following. Ultimately, the excessive use of filters has raised concerns about the “pressure on women” to present an “unrealistic version of themselves,” as one user tweeted.
