There are a few Hollywood couples that set the stage for a healthy relationship (and look like they’re in it for the long haul). For many fans, that ultimate celebrity couple has been Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard. Both are full time working actors, with their own identity and stardom-claim-to-fame. Bell, stared in TV Hit Series, “A Good Place”, while Shepard played character Luke Matthews in “The Ranch”.

Best known for their Samsung ‘Perfect Couple’ commercials, this couple isn’t afraid to tell their fans exactly what goes on behind the scenes. They discuss through interviews, mini-series, and various podcast, complete transparency on the hardships and rewards of marriage. With their insights and expert levels of communication, we were shocked when the couple announced they had been fighting for three days straight.

Where We Heard The News?

On 1/28, Kristen Bell was a guest on Justin Long's Podcast, "Life Is Short". It was here where Bell shared the cause of the three day fight between her and Shepard. Apparently, the fight became so heated that the two blacked out in the exact verbage and reason for escalation in the fight. All she remembers is raising her voice and ending the night sleeping in the guest room. The couple spent three days apart and avoided speaking and limiting interactions as much as possible. The two share daughters, Lincoln (age 6) and Delta (age 5), so they remained strong and supportive parents and communicated on matters when it came to the girls and their needs.

What Caused Their Fight?

Believe it or not, the cause of the fight had to do with house chores. Just like everyone else, the two try and maintain a household. A demanding home full of errands, chores, and two young kids (on top of having full-time careers), it's inevidable to run into a mishap or two. Bell had left a list (note) of chores she needed done around the house, that she believed Shepard wouldn't mind helping with. The two live on a partnership system, "we have a relationship where you are supposed to be able to say, ‘I need your help with this,’” said Bell.

However, when the two were laying in bed later that night, Shepard expressed that he felt controlled when he came across notes such as the one written previously that day. Understanding that communication preferences can be different, Bell wanted to know the best way to ask Shepard to share (or take over) certain chores around the house. This is where everything escalated...

How Did They Make Up?

According to Bell, Shepard didn't come out and verbally apologize. However, his act of 'let's make up' spoke more volume than words ever could! When Bell and their two daughters were at a Dog Cafe (that was hosting dogs for adoption), the girls facetimed Shepard and showed their favorite fur baby. Even though he is allergic to dogs, Shepard gave the all-clear to bring the four-legged friend home with them.

Additionally, Bell expressed that helping around the house was second nature to both of them (after the fight). There was nothing she had to express or ask of him, he took his role as split caretaker of the home very seriously. She explained on Long's podcast that there was nothing she could complain about.

Bell Makes It A Point To Share

Many couples face the hurdles that come with merging two lifestyles together. Between mastering communication, and trying to keep each other's needs mets, there's never going to be a healthy marriage or relationship with life's hurdles and obstacles. That's why Bell has made it a point to showcase the ups and the downs with her fans. Saying when they have good moments worth celebrating, and down times when they need to work at fixing something (whether through open communication or therapy). They like to showcase life outside of the commericalized glamor, they are just two ordinary people trying to get through life happy and healthy.
