When Kristen Stewart was cast to play Princess Diana in the new biopic Spencer, there were a lot of mixed feelings from fans. Many questioned if the Twilight actress was the right person for the part. However, one picture seems to have assuaged all of those concerns. In the photo, Stewart looks incredibly similar to the People’s Princess, so much so that people began to confuse the two.

Take a look for yourself!

Many fans could not believe the resemblance, especially considering that Stewart usually prefers a more edgy appearance.

One commented, “I thought it was her before I saw the caption!”

Another responded to the photo, “Oh wow! The resemblance is mind-blowing!”

However, some are reserving their judgment for the film’s release. One wrote, “Well the look is there and that’s half the battle. I’ll hold judgment until I see the performance.”

However, it seems that some–specifically, members of the royal family–have already decided against the film. Robert Jobson, a royal biographer who knew Princess Diana, told Us Weekly that it is “inevitable” that the royal family will not enjoy the film.”They won’t like it, but they would have expected it. It is the truth,” he explained.

Jobson added, “I think the most important thing is how well the actress can interpret the role. We’ll have to wait and see on that. As for the photographs of her, I thought she looked remarkably like the photograph of [Diana]. Having been someone who has met Diana and knew her fairly well, I thought it was uncanny, really. But we’ll just have to see. I think what’s more important is the authenticity of the portrayal, and we’ll have to see how that develops because my understanding is it’s going to be a good script and it’s going to be a good premise, but it might not necessarily have actually happened in the way they’re saying.”
