In the interview, Cavallari explained that she was not one to read the comments on her posts, but was told that she was being mom-shamed.
She told the outlet, "I don't read my comments but a lot of people were like, 'You got mommy-shamed' and whatnot. I just don't understand. When you become a mom, it doesn't mean we have to crawl into a cave and hide out for the rest of our lives."
The Laguna Beach star continued, "A mom is a large part of who I am but it's not all of who I am. I literally worked my a-- off for that photoshoot."
"I feel really good right now, so I just thought, 'Why not?'" she added.
Although Cavallari's reasoning definitely makes sense, not all of her followers felt the same.
One critical comment racked up over one thousand likes. The troll wrote, "Appropriate for a mom of 3? Asking for a friend."
However, many fans also came to her defense. One wrote, "I never comment on these but the mom shaming is so pathetic. She’s a mom and she looks amazing. She’s a mom and she’s incredibly successful. She’s a mom and had the courage to leave an unhappy relationship. It seems to me she has absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, her kids should be proud, and some of you all should come out of the 1950s."
Cavallari seems unbothered by the criticism, and we don't blame her--she looks incredible!
