Kristin Davis just shared a glowing new selfie for her 1.4 million Instagram followers, showcasing her flawless and unadorned skin, which prompted an outpouring of compliments from her fans in the comments section.
This radiant upload marks nearly a year since the And Just Like That actress, 59, spoke candidly about the barrage of criticism she received regarding her appearance as she aged.
After admitting to receiving facial fillers, Davis revealed to The Telegraph in June 2023 that she has been subject to continuous mockery and negativity online due to her cosmetic treatments.
Kristin Davis Shares Glowing, Au Naturel Selfie On Instagram After 'Filler' Criticism
On April 2nd, the Sex and the City alum took to IG to upload a throwback pic from her recent trip to Kenya. She posed in ample sunlight for the natural-looking, makeup-free self-portrait. Davis wore her signature sun-kissed brunette tresses down, parted to the side and styled into voluminous loose waves.
"Jet lagged, but the Kenya hair is worth it #throwback," the mom of two captioned her post. Fans headed to the comments section to share their thoughts. "You look fantastic! You never needed fillers. Simply gorgeous!" one wrote as another added: "More stunning than ever." Someone else replied: "Natural beauty" as one other noted: "You really look great without makeup!!!"
Last June, Davis sat down for an interview with The Telegraph and got candid about being "ridiculed relentlessly" by internet trolls for her appearance — both before and after pursuing facial fillers for anti-aging purposes.
Davis divulged that her initial foray into cosmetic procedures involved the use of Botox, after which she proceeded to dabble in facial fillers. "I have done fillers and it’s been good and I’ve done fillers and it’s been bad," she dished to the outlet.
The Melrose Place star revealed that she has had the fillers removed, however, this decision has resulted in a barrage of even more disparaging remarks being directed towards her. "I have shed tears about it… It’s very stressful," she said.
Davis also noted that "it's hard to be confronted with your younger self at all times." She added, telling the publication that "it's a challenge to remember that you don't have to look like that," and added, "The internet wants you to—but they also don’t want you to. They’re very conflicted.”
As Davis' fans would agree, however, despite being confronted with a plethora of unwarranted backlash and criticism, her innate radiance and timeless allure warrant admiration and appreciation!
