Kylie Jenner Opens Up About Gaining And Losing 60 Lbs And Finding Her Personal Style In New Interview
Jenner also touched on discovering her personal fashion sense, expressing that she now feels more self-assured and authentic than ever before. The Kardashians star, as fans know, has two children with her former partner Travis Scott: daughter Stormi, born in 2018, and son Aire, whom she welcomed in 2022.
In the aforementioned ELLE interview, the Khy founder shared that she presently opting to reject minimalism in her fashion choices. “I think I’m actually going in the opposite direction. I’ve definitely had some moments of quiet luxury, as they would say, but I’m always experimenting. At the root of my authentic style, I think I’m more dark feminine,” she said.
Jenner credited her new look to the time that's passed since she last had a child. “I haven’t had a baby in a few years. The first part of my twenties was having children, learning what my personal style was and then losing it—not knowing how to dress, gaining 60 pounds for both pregnancies. It took me a year to feel like myself again,” she revealed.
The style icon continued: “At 27, I feel more confident and more like myself than ever.” Jenner also mentioned that her perspective on beauty has changed over time and expressed regret about having undergone breast enhancement surgery during her teenage years. “I have to give my younger self grace. I don’t like to have too many regrets in life. I think my path is what got me here today,” she explained. “I’m happy with where I am and just have to keep moving forward.”
Jenner said that she has continually worked on being kind to herself, especially as she faced challenges with her body image during her pregnancies. “I got pregnant when I was 19. Having a baby really young was more shocking, maybe, because I saw these changes happening to my body—all these new stretch marks and things that I didn’t have before,” Jenner recalled.
The mom of two also got candid about postpartum depression: “I felt like I was on autopilot.” Jenner, who hasn't been seen with her rumored boyfriend Timothée Chalamet for a few weeks, then discussed more broadly about maintaining her personal life’s privacy. “I think it’s important to keep things to yourself. It’s hard for me to make a decision by myself sometimes, so the opinion of the whole world…it can be tough,” she said.
