Kylie Jenner is opening up about suffering from postpartum depression twice (PPD) after giving birth to her children: daughter Stormi, 4, and son Aire, 1 (whom she shares with rapper Travis Scott).

The reality star, 25, appeared on the latest cover of Vanity Fair Italy and spoke with the publication about the highs and lows of pregnancy, and what advice she would to give to new mothers going through a similar experience.

Kylie Jenner Talks PPD And What Advice She’d Give To Fellow Mothers

Siting down with the outlet, Jenner said that her first pregnancy and first time dealing with PPD was “very difficult” while the second time around was “more manageable.” The Kylie Cosmetics mogul advised other mothers going through the same thing to not “overthink things” and to embrace the many emotions that come along with it, “even if it is painful.”

“I know in those moments you think that it will never pass, that your body will never be the same as before, that you will never be the same,” Jenner said. “That’s not true: the hormones, the emotions at that stage are much, much more powerful and bigger than you,” she added. The Kardashians star went on, “My advice is to live through that transition, without fear of the aftermath. The risk is to miss all the most beautiful things of motherhood as well.”

Jenner Tells Fans It’s “Okay To Not Be Okay” After Giving Birth And Experiencing PPD

As fans know, this isn’t the first time that Jenner has detailed the intense months following her pregnancies and giving birth. Last March, Jenner made an Instagram Live video for her 379 million followers in which she talked about PPD after welcoming her son in February 2022.

Many viewers expressed on social media how much they could relate to her sentiment, and how “important” shining light on the topic is. She said at the time that it is “ok to not be ok” and reminded fellow mothers that “we have to stop putting pressure on ourselves to be ‘back.’ Not even physically, just mentally, after birth.”

Jenner also admitted to her sister Kendall on an episode of the Kardashians Hulu show that she cried for “three straight weeks” after giving birth to her son and that she “would be laying in bed and my head would just hurt so bad.” Jenner has also been credited by fans for “normalizing normal” postpartum bodies after posting a (seemingly unedited) photo of her post-pregnancy belly.
