Kylie Jenner seemingly spared no expense for the joint birthday party of daughter Stormi, who turned 6 on February 1st, and son Aire, who turned 2 on February 2nd.
The Kylie Cosmetics mogul, 26, pulled out all the stops for the birthday bash, which featured a DJ, fairground rides, road signs with her children’s names and ages on them, and cotton candy in the shapes of clouds and lightning bolts to represent both Stormi and Aire. The party also featured a mascot of Stormi, which didn’t seem to go down well on social media, as many fans deemed it “terrifying.”

Proud aunt Kim Kardashian, 43, shared a video of the Stormi mascot dancing to the song "Goosebumps" by her father Travis Scott, which the DJ was playing in the background. The dancefloor had her name in big colorful letters written on it, while the DJ booth was decorated with clouds, and had a faux starry night sky behind.
The internet didn't seem to have the biggest problem with the extravagance – which is something the Kardashian/Jenner clan has been slammed for in the past – as they mainly took issue with the terrifying mascot.

Commenting on a February 5th Reddit post, which shared pictures of the birthday party, one person said, "That thing is creepy," in reference to the Stormi mascot. "If I was a kid and I saw that, I’d be [expletive] bricks and having nightmares!" they added. "Geez. The kids will need trauma therapy," commented another. "Are they trying to traumatize Stormi even more?!" asked another, in agreement. "Scary as hell. Are they trying to traumatize Stormi? Can't they just think about their children for once and not throw a birthday party that comes straight out of a nightmare?" asked another, as someone else called the party: "Nightmare inducing."
"Not just terrifying, but insulting to Stormi. jmho, of course," wrote another, which another fan "completely agreed" with. "That poor girl. This looks like Kylie's puffy face not Stormi. Someone please work their magic and photoshop this head on the mascot instead. I’m really sad for Stormi that her own mom did this," commented another, sharing a picture of the Khy founder from the Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture show at Paris Fashion Week.
Other fans did also slam the extravagance, with one person writing: "These kids don’t have a chance in hell of any kind of normalcy." Another said: "I get the feeling that having these lavish celebrations isn’t good for a kids mind. It feels like they’re training their kids to be narcissists… you know?" "After seeing their Christmas... yeah nope," wrote another, in reference to the controversial Christmas party which was held at Kim's Calabasas home.
Another Reddit user said: "These kids are so horribly over spoiled by the time they're 5 or 6, that they probably never will appreciate anything in life. I'd love for them to take them to a soup kitchen like they kid Kendall and Kylie, but apparently it had [no effect] on Kylie! This isn't even for their child, it's for stunting on the gram and other social media. #theymakemesick."
