Like most women, I fell in love with soft bras during Covid and have never looked back. The underwire-free bras are like the adult version of a training bra (except now we can actually fill them). They’re made with the softest materials, provide just the right amount of support, and in some cases, padding. They’re comfortable enough to wear for hours without that oh-my-god-get-this-thing-off-of-me-feeling at the end of the day. There are lots of soft bras on the market (including super cheapies on Amazon), but I can personally vouch for the Spanx one–and apparently Kylie Jenner loves it, too, because she just gave it a big ol’ endorsement in the form of an Instagram FEED post. Yes.
Kylie Jenner CFDA Awards Bra
On November 8th, Kylie took to her Instagram to give praise to her glam team for their impeccable hair and makeup work for the 2022 CFDA Awards. Makeup by Ariel and Jesus Hair killed it, and Kylie looked impeccable in a high-slit Mugler gown for the event where sister Kim took home the Amazon Innovation Award for her Skims brand. It was a big night for the Kardashian-Jenner crew, but an even bigger night for comfortable bras everywhere.
In the gallery of photos, Kylie is seen serving flawless face in a snuggly robe, and if you click to fourth slide, a nude-colored bra. MY bra, that is!
Although Kylie didn't wear it for the evening (her dress was one-shoulder, afterall), I love that she gave some love (and a major platform) to super-comfy, non-constricting bras. I mean, what else would you want to wear for *hours and hours* of glam prep?!
Bra-llelujah! Bralette Honest Review
I've been wearing the brand's Bra-llelujah Lightly Lined Bralette ($48) non-stop since quarantine. Before I switched to the softer side, I admit that I was a diehard for the original lined Bra-llelujah. The original is also very comfortable compared to other lined bras, and is the perfect t-shirt bra.
But when I stopped commuting into the city for work, I decided to give the brand's even-less restricting version a try. I'm a B-cup so I need the version with padded cups. I wear this bra with white tees, white sweaters, with athliesure looks (aka, when I am wearing leggings and a sweatshirt and pretending to work out later that day). I wear it on hikes. I wear it to my parent's house when I want to be comfy at night but not free the nipple. When I'm packing a bag for an overnight or trip of any kind, I can't leave home without it.
Did I mention that the bra has no clasps of any kind. It's completely smooth and perfectly stretchy (without stretching out). It's machine-washable (I have washed it many times) and comes in sizes XS through XL. You can get it in seven colors, I really should venture away from the nude some time.
Celebrities Who Love Spanx Bras
If you don't trust me and Kylie, just know that there are so many women--including many celebs--that are obsessed with this bra, too. Jennifer Garner has said that she recommends the original lined version to all her friends. And People reports that Jessica Alba, Kelly Rowland, Rita Ora and Abbie Cornish are among the other celebrities who say they love Spanx bras.
