Lady Gaga turned heads on the red carpet in London last week in a black-and-white floral baby-doll dress with sky-high platform Marc Jacobs boots. While many fans thought the Grammy winner’s gothic and whimsical ensemble was chic, others on Instagram were divided by her look.

To complete her get-up for the Joker: Folie à Deux photo call event, the “Born This Way” hitmaker, 38, added white striped knee-high socks to match her frock’s Peter Pan collar and black Celine shades.

Soon after the event, pop culture publication Just Jared shared a September 26th photo collection post with photos of Gaga’s outfit. Fans headed to the comments section to share their thoughts.

"Why is she dressed like a teenaged girl?" one user wrote in response to Gaga's style statement as another replied: "it’s lady gaga— let her dress how she wants. she may not be young, but that’s not any of our business or decision of how she decides to spend her life." Someone else deemed the look to be "terrible" as one other disagreed: "Happy to see her eccentric side shine! Love that!"

On the red carpet, the Haus Labs mogul wore her newly red hair down in a shaggy bob with choppy fringe. As for her makeup look, Gaga sported a fiery, bright red lip. She posed for solo shots and more pics with her Joker 2 co-star, Joaquin Phoenix.

The red and black palette of Gaga’s overall look seemed to vividly recall the iconic costume of the beloved comic book character she portrays in the film, Harley Quinn.

While this ensemble from the "Paparazzi" singer might've divided fans, many were unanimously in awe by her previous get-ups while promoting Joker 2, like her elegant black tea-length dress worn to the 81st Venice Film Festival.

For that outfit earlier this month, the "Bad Romance" artist donned a bespoke Dior velvet gown with a flattering fit-and-flare design, long sleeves, and a square neckline. She added stunning Tiffany earrings made of platinum and encrusted with diamonds.
