The highly anticipated sequel will take the form of a part-musical, part-psychological thriller, which will give Gaga complete range to use her voice and acting creds (we’ve already seen her emotional range in A Star Is Born, and high exuberance in House of Gucci). Lady Gaga Drops New Photo As Harley Quinn
We've already seen one look teased of Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, which showed her rocking a tailored red blazer-jacket and black and white diamond-print blouse—classic Harley Quinn motifs—complete with a black leather mini skirt and diamond patterned tights. The look is reportedly crafted by Oscar-nominated costume designer Arianne Phillips, who designed the glamorous looks seen in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019).
In the original looks teased, the singer-actress looks a bit more pulled together with slicked-back hair and clown makeup. But in the latest photo teased by the star and director Todd Phillips, 52, Gaga's character Harleen appears a bit more deranged—her clown makeup is melting off her face, her red lip is smudged, and her hair is now chopped into a banged frizzy bob. It could be assumed that this recent look happens after the other, where Gaga completely transforms into complete madness as Harley Quinn.

Gaga wrote alongside the photo, "That’s a wrap," followed by a flaming heart emoji, director's cut sign, and joker playing card, "X, Harleen." Fans were quick to react and are anticipating a stellar performance. One fan wrote, "Feel like she’ll do the role what Heath Ledger did to Joker," a high praise, considering fans consider his performance as Joker one of the best of all time. Another fan wrote that they expect Gaga to give an "Oscar-winning performance."
Todd Phillips, the director of the film and its Oscar-winning predecessor, wrote alongside the photo of Gaga and a swipe photo of Joaquin Phoenix reprising as the Joker, "That’s a wrap. Thanks to these two (+ the entire cast) and the BEST crew that the film industry has to offer. From top to bottom. Gonna crawl into a cave now (edit room) and put it all together."
New Leaked Look Of Lady Gaga As Harley Quinn Could Indicate Spoilers
Spoiler alert! Gaga was spotted in the blunt bob look filming on the same steps in New York City that Phoenix's character danced down in the 2019 film. A leaked video shows her dancing and posing in a frenzy in front of the Joker until the cops show up and arrest him.

Fans rushed to the comments in disbelief over already seeing a seemingly important scene. One fan wrote, "This seems like a final scene and here we are watching it a year and a half earlier," and another replied, "I think they are smarter than that... they could have shot during the night."
Still, some fans speculated theories about the scene. "This is a very interesting scene & it could possibly be a plot spoiler," wrote one reply. "One, He could be imagining her singing to him, or two, she could be pretending she’s on his side and leading him to possibly get caught." They continued, "She could be possibly against him and working with the police since in both possible scenarios they are not even paying attention to her. I guess we’ll find out in a year or so."
