Lady Gaga Gushes Over Fiancé Michael Polansky

The Joker 2 actress opened up about her fiancé, who she got engaged to in April last year, telling Strahan: “He just loves the whole me.”

The 14-time-Grammy-winner went on to express how much love and support Polansky provides in their relationship, referring to him as her “best friend.” Aww! She gushed: “I learn a lot from him. He’s so supportive. He’s got an incredibly kind heart.”

"Being in a partnership with your best friend, I feel like, is a huge blessing," the House of Gucci star continued, adding: "And I couldn't imagine, like, going through life with anyone but him, honestly."

"My album's called Mayhem but, you know, it's also, like, nice to be in the mayhem with someone else… facing life together," she continued.

And when asked how the wedding planning was going, the A Star is Born actress said: "It's going."

Lady Gaga Says She Was Initially Afraid Of Returning To Pop Music

Mother Monster also spoke with Strahan about her return to pop music with her highly anticipated seventh studio album, Mayhem, which is out now. Her fans, aka the Little Monsters, have been eagerly waiting for her next pop album for quite some time, after she explored other genres in recent years, including her collaborative jazz album with the late Tony Bennett.

The "Rain on Me" singer admitted to Strahan that she was initially apprehensive about returning to pop, unsure of how her critics would react. But despite her reservations, she ultimately re-entered the genre with "confidence" – and we're so grateful that she did!

The "Born This Way" musician said: "As a woman in music, there were a lot of people that were like, 'Oh, this is who made her' or 'This is what made her.' I think that returning to pop music for me was a little bit something I was afraid of because I wondered if I was believing what those people were saying. So I went into the studio and I went in with confidence. And I was like, 'No, no. I made me, me.'"

"Being a woman in music, I was almost always the only woman in the room, all the time, and I had to really, really work hard to maintain my, like, sense of stability and my purpose," she continued, in reference to becoming "the boss" of her music.

"And I always stuck to my guns when it came to my music and my artistry," she continued, adding: "But it was a real challenge. And I had, like, made it through that mayhem."
