Lainey Wilson Shares How Meal Prepping, Grilled Chicken, And Staying Active On Tour Led To Her 20-Lb Weight Loss

Following tabloid rumors about Wilson shedding 70 pounds, the "Heart Like a Truck" hitmaker clarified the truth during an interview on the Big D & Bubba radio show in 2023. Regarding the rumors, Wilson said: "Hell no!" She added: "I have lost weight. I probably lost about 20 pounds."

When Wilson shed some weight, whispers soon circulated that she had used gummies to slim down. In June 2023, the "Things a Man Oughta Know" artist addressed the speculation on Instagram to clarify the situation.

"Alright y’all, by now I’m sure a lot y’all have seen some ads about me losing weight, being hospitalized and then I started taking some weight loss gummies and blah blah blah that saved my life. Well surprise, it ain’t true," she said in a video for her followers.

Wilson went on: "People will do whatever to make a dollar, even if it is lies. Cause ain’t nobody sent me any gummies." Wilson encouraged her supporters to question any similar stories they might come across.

She also wrote on Instagram: "PSA if y’all have seen these ads, they’re entirely fake. Don’t fall for them and help me out by reporting them when you see them." Wilson was never fixated on the figure displayed by the scale, and she shared with her fans that her hectic routine has led to the transformation in her physique.

In another IG video she explained: "If I have lost weight, it’s because I am working hard and playing hour and a half shows and running around every night of my life." Wilson added: "And to be honest me losing weight or gaining weight ain’t got anything to do with my music."

In a 2023 interview with Audacy, Wilson noted: "If I don't actually get a workout in during the day I don't feel bad because I know I'm gonna get one that night." During a conversation with Delish that same year, Wilson mentioned that she makes an effort to organize her meals in advance while touring.

Lainey Wilson Opens Up About Her Inconsistent Schedule While Touring And Maintaining Balance In Her Diet

She told the outlet: "I will say I feel like I’m becoming a little bit more prepared than I used to be. I really do enjoy meal prepping and having things handy, because I feel like when you don’t have those things handy, that’s when you mess up and that’s when you eat something that makes you feel bad."

Wilson admitted she struggles to maintain a routine of three meals a day when on tour. "It’s really hard to make sure that you’re disciplined enough to do that. I try my best that I possibly can," she shared.

Wilson shared with Delish that her favorite meals include scrambled eggs for breakfast, yogurt or salads for lunch, and grilled chicken for dinner. For snacks, she opts for nutritious choices like hummus and almonds. Although Wilson focuses on maintaining a nutritious diet, she mentioned that she has a fondness for sweets and allows herself a daily treat.

"Even if it’s just a little piece of candy, I’ve got to have my dark chocolate," she said. She added: "At some point in time, I will have a bite of chocolate every single day." The more you know!
