When To Apply Moisturizer
Dermatologists recommend moisturizing right after you’ve taken a shower or a bath to ensure that the hydration you need is locked in. You should always use warm water to help open the pores, but the temperature shouldn’t be too hot because the intense heat can have a drying effect.
Which Formula Is Best
For lasting hydration, it’s best to use a moisturizer that has a thick consistency that it’s too heavy. Water-based gels and creams that are too light and will leave your skin thirsty and dry, whereas really heavy creams could potentially cause breakouts.
