For those in search of advice on lip liner for mature beauties over 40, TikTok tutorials are an invaluable source of helpful techniques and solutions.

Erica Taylor, a popular makeup artist and creator, shared a captivating and informative video showcasing natural methods to enhance the fullness and plumpness of your pout as you age.

A Beauty TikToker Shares A Clever And Simple Lip Liner/ Blending Hack For Women 35 + Up

As the video began, Taylor noted that her hack is for “anyone over 35 or 40” or who is noticing their lip area “turning down and frowning at the corners” naturally with age.

Using her ingenuity, she inserted a slender lip liner pencil into her mouth and positioned it horizontally. With this setup, she could easily trace the contours of her upper and lower lips with another lip liner, all while maintaining the perfect position.

"I take the lip liner out and this allows it not to go all the way to the corners that accentuate the drop," Taylor explained.

In her tutorial, the creator used the Hard Candy Insta Pout Lip Liner, Plumping, in the shade 'Boyfriend Brown.'

The product features a classic precision tip and a blending brush on the other end. Taylor used the brush to fade the harsher lines she drew previously to emphasize her lips subtly and not too drastically.

"It's not hard in the corners. Just blend it out," Taylor advised. She continued, while blending: "It's  not accentuating the drop down. The lips look nice, plump and lifted."

Next, Taylor used the L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Original Creamy, Hydrating Satin Lipstick in the shade '800 Fairest Nude' to fill in her pout.

"Go right over the liner," she instructed. "In case you're wondering, it works with darker colors too, like a red," the artist added. She then used a fiery scarlet hue on her lips to demonstrate.

"Same thing, I don't go all the way into the corner," she noted, regarding her lipstick step following the initial liner drawing and blending.
