The reviews for Mark Consuelos’ first episode as co-host of Live are in – and they’re not good! Kelly Ripa, 52, bid a tearful farewell to her work husband Ryan Seacrest, 48, on Friday, April 14th, and welcomed her real-life husband Mark Consuelos, 52, on Monday, April 17th. Mark *officially* replaced Ryan as the show’s co-host on Monday after filling in for him occasionally in the past; however, many fans weren’t keen on the Live with Kelly and Mark first episode, with one viewer calling it “painful,” and another saying it was “horrid,” while another less-than-optimistic viewer predicted it was “the beginning of the end.” Yikes!

Negative Comments About ‘Live With Kelly And Mark’

Ryan Seacrest leaving Live with Kelly and Ryan was undoubtedly going to be devastating for fans who have enjoyed watching the two presenters entertain them for over six years; but we weren’t expecting them to be *this* negative about his replacement!

The negative comments actually started before the new show even started on an Instagram promo video that was posted on Saturday, April 15th! “Not Interested,” one person wrote, which another echoed, writing, “Not interested either, all you’re going to hear is about themselves.” Another fan predicted, “This is when it gets canceled,” while someone else said, “The beginning of the end… what a waste.”

Did the comments get any better after the first show? We don’t want to say it, but the answer is no! “Please, I beg you please cancel the show,” one viewer begged on a behind-the-scenes Instagram post from the official Live account on April 17th. “I could not agree more. This show is going down the tubes fast. They could change the hosts a thousand times and it still won’t make a difference,” said another.

The negativity towards the Let’s Talk Off Camera With Kelly Ripa podcast host and her husband of almost 27 years continued on Twitter, as one fan called the first episode, “Painful,” adding, “They never say anything of substance… just fake banter!” Another fan echoed this with an even harsher comment, saying: “Look up gibberish in the dictionary and you’ll see a picture of these two. I’ve never heard two people talk for so long and actually say nothing.”

“What? It was awful. This show needs to be cancelled! It was over when Regis left!” exclaimed another viewer, while someone else said, “Your first show together today was horrible, painful. I turned it off.” “Kelly please LET Mark finish his sentences. Otherwise, this is gonna be hard to watch every day,” pleaded another viewer, while someone else simply said the show was “horrid.” “It was boring and ridiculous,” criticized another viewer. Another heartbroken fan said “I really, really missed Ryan this morning,” followed by a broken heart emoji.

More Positive Comments

It wasn’t all bad though, as many fans flooded social media with encouraging comments for the couple! "Am I the only one crying! I am so excited for their newest chapter!" exclaimed one fan on Instagram, followed by a red heart emoji and a heart eyes emoji. "I always loved when Mark filled in… but now we get to see him every day! They are the sweetest couple!" gushed another fan, followed by the red heart emoji. "Love them together!" added another.

"Yay! Congratulations on your first day Mark," praised another fan of the show, while another viewer said, "They are the sweetest couple ever," followed by the red heart, fire, and heart eyes emojis. "This was great," said another viewer, while someone else said they were an "awesome" wife and husband team!
