Lizzo discussed encountering a hurdle in her health goals this week in a confessional TikTok video. The “About Damn Time” hitmaker, 36, got candid, writing in a message over her clip: “I overate yesterday and I’m feeling really bad about it.” The Grammy winner added: “I’m trying to remind myself that my body needed that nourishment.”
She went on: “And if my body deserves comfort then my brain deserves comfort too.” In the video, she can be seen donning an oversized striped top with a trendy skirt and looking into the camera with a calm, somewhat sullen expression on her face. This comes after the “Special” crooner showed off her recent weight loss and exercise routines on social media.

“It’s okay Liz, it happens! You’re beautiful as always,” one supporter wrote as another added: “I fell in love with you bc you have always embraced yourself regardless of size, please don’t get wrapped up in the masses and start thinking your value is in your size or what you eat. we love u.” An additional fan commented: “I have been redefining my relationship with food and learning to be gracious with myself as well. I support your continued evolution!”
The “Juice” singer’s heartfelt revelation follows her defense against claims that she has been using Ozempic, an FDA-approved diabetes medication that has recently gained popularity as a weight-loss aid, particularly among celebrities.
In another social media post, Lizzo recently wrote: "When you finally get Ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit."
In May, Lizzo shared her inspiration for embarking on a fitness journey, clarifying in a TikTok video that her goal was "not to escape fatness" but to improve her mental health and enhance her stamina for demanding live performances. "I have a very high-performance job," she said.
She continued: "For 90 minutes a night, I have to do choreography, I have to sing, I have to dance, I have to rap and I have to play the flute. And I have to emote, and hype a crowd in very tight clothes, sometimes clothes where it restricts my breathing."
The pop star further explained: "It's fun. I love my job. But it takes a lot of physical endurance to do what I do, and I used to be very rockstar lifestyle, used to throw myself around on the stage. As I got more professional in my career, I started to take the physical part more seriously."
