Lizzo discussed encountering a hurdle in her health goals this week in a confessional TikTok video. The “About Damn Time” hitmaker, 36, got candid, writing in a message over her clip: “I overate yesterday and I’m feeling really bad about it.” The Grammy winner added: “I’m trying to remind myself that my body needed that nourishment.”
She went on: “And if my body deserves comfort then my brain deserves comfort too.” In the video, she can be seen donning an oversized striped top with a trendy skirt and looking into the camera with a calm, somewhat sullen expression on her face. This comes after the “Special” crooner showed off her recent weight loss and exercise routines on social media.
In the comments section, the “Truth Hurts” artist extended her encouragement to fans who might be facing challenges when it comes to wellness and fitness. “If you’re going through this ur not alone,” she wrote. Lizzo’s clip for her 25.8 million followers was accompanied by an audio track from TikToker Soulxsigh, featuring a heartfelt message from the poet and artist.
It said: “You did good today. Really good. You might not see it. You might think it was just another day, but it wasn’t. Every step you took today was a step forward no matter how small.” Fans then headed to the comments to share their thoughts and thank Lizzo for being “honest” and “real.”
“It’s okay Liz, it happens! You’re beautiful as always,” one supporter wrote as another added: “I fell in love with you bc you have always embraced yourself regardless of size, please don’t get wrapped up in the masses and start thinking your value is in your size or what you eat. we love u.” An additional fan commented: “I have been redefining my relationship with food and learning to be gracious with myself as well. I support your continued evolution!”
The “Juice” singer’s heartfelt revelation follows her defense against claims that she has been using Ozempic, an FDA-approved diabetes medication that has recently gained popularity as a weight-loss aid, particularly among celebrities.
