Olivia Jade has started speaking out about the college admissions scandal. Specifically, she has opened up about hoping to forgive her parents, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli.

However, this scandal has been “extremely difficult” for the 20-year-old. Keep reading for what she has to say!

A family source told People, "This has been extremely difficult for her. Her career has been affected because of decisions her parents made."

However, she does want her relationship with her parents to get better. The insider continued, "But they are still her parents. She has to find forgiveness for them, and she will always love them."

Olivia Jade does want to forgive her parents--as difficult as it may be.

The source continued, "In turn, she hopes that as she finds forgiveness for her parents, her fans will not be as judgmental about her."

Her parents recently received their sentences. Loughlin will spend two months in jail, pay a $150,000 fine, and complete 150 hours of community service. Giannulli received a harsher sentence: five months in jail, a $250,000 fine, and 250 hours of community service.

As for what Olivia Jade has been up to, don't expect her to make a return to the spotlight just yet.

The source told People, "When it feels right, she does want to continue everything she had been building before. Her path hasn’t changed."

"College wasn’t her path, but people around her told her how important it was and what a great experience it would be," the insider explains, "Her passion and love was always connecting with people on YouTube, and she hopes in time she can come back."
