Yo-yo dieting is the cycle of losing and regaining the weight back and is a very common problem that many find frustrating during their weight loss journey.

While there are several ways to adjust your breakfast, lunch, and dinner recipes to fit your weight loss goals, sweet treats are a bit more challenging. Obviously, what makes them sweet is the sugar content, and that ingredient is probably the biggest culprit behind your weight gain.

Luckily, there are tons of health experts available that show us creative ways to make tasty desserts that not only taste great but will also help you shed stubborn fat!

Nutrition coach Ashley May (ashleymay970) recently shared her “favorite” chocolate frosty delight “that’s as nutritious as it is delicious!” Read on to get the full recipe!

Low-Calorie Chocolate Frosty

This recipe is perfect for those who simply want a quick, protein-loaded dessert that won’t derail their weight loss plans.

Ingredients:

1/2 frozen banana (52 calories), 1 scoop Devotion Nutrition Brownie Batter Protein (100 calories, 20g protein), 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (12 calories), 2 tablespoons PBfit (60 calories, 8g protein), ice, and milk (oat, 20 calories).

Throw in all these ingredients into a blender until it’s all smooth and creamy! Ashley notes that this treat carries about 244 calories and a whopping 28 grams of protein.

This dessert is excellent for fat burning for many reasons. First, bananas are a great source of fiber, which will help you feel full. This fiber content aids in stabilizing blood sugar levels, which can help with reducing the likelihood of cravings.

Oat milk is much lower in calories as opposed to regular milk and also provides a creamy texture.

Moderation is key here, as Ashley revealed in another TikTok that she was a victim of yo-yo dieting, but managed to eventually lose 32 pounds “after 10 years of yo-yo dieting!” She strongly encourages a balanced diet and lifestyle that includes lots of protein, plenty of water, quality sleep, exercise, and a sweet treat here and there!
