Luke Bryan sadly announced his cancellation of yet another show due to an ongoing battle with a “head cold,” as fans continue to send well wishes his way on social media. The latest affected show was the Brandon, Mississippi concert scheduled for Sunday, August 13th.

Last week, the “Country Girl (Shake It For Me” singer, 47, was unable to perform for the three-day Watershed Festival in George, Washington, which he was set to headline. Prior to that, the “Play It Again” hitmaker had to scrap more “Country On Tour” performances planned for Salt Lake City, Utah and Boise, Idaho due to his health.

On Sunday, Bryan wrote in an Instagram Story post for his 6.6 million followers: “Dear Brandon, MS I am regretfully going to have to cancel my show there tonight. Under doctor’s advice after taking 6 days off to heal I attempted to sing at both shows Thursday and Saturday and it was a struggle.”

Luke Bryan Cancels More Tour Dates Due To An Ongoing ‘Head Cold’

The country superstar explained to his followers that the cancellations of his concerts were necessary in order for him to take a break and allow his vocal cords the opportunity to recuperate.

On August 6th, the American Idol judge gave an update on his condition, indicating that even speaking was challenging, much less singing, due to his illness.”This is such a frustrating weekend. ‘Shedders, I am sorry to let you down but I am not back singing—can hardly even talk still,” he wrote on his Story.

On Twitter, Bryan shared two days before that he had been fighting the head cold for the past couple of weeks.

Despite warming up and singing each day in order to still be able to perform, he had yet to recover.

As a result, the father of five regretfully informed his Salt Lake City fans that he would not be able to give them the show he "wanted to give" and thus had to postpone it to the end of August.

Bryan also had to tell his Boise fans about his show's cancellation at the Ford Center on August 5th.

After medical advice, he said that he required an additional day of rest to properly recover his vocal cords, rendering the show unplayable.

His deep sorrow and regret of the missed opportunity to perform for the Boise audience was clearly conveyed, as he added he would soon provide information on rescheduled dates.

On social media, many fans stressed that Bryan's health "comes first," as they continue to send sweet and supportive messages to him as he recovers from the cold.

"Hope you get better and feel better soon!! Just take your time to rest!" one tweeted. Another added: "Life happens. good on you for taking care of yourself so it doesn’t get worse and you end up not being able to perform at all."

Someone else replied: "Luke, do what's necessary for you man. Your fans will understand if you need to prioritize your health and well-being."

Feel better soon!
