Madison Beer Opens Up About Childhood Trauma & Fame
In her chat with PEOPLE about the album back in September, where she poured her heart into lyrics exploring vulnerable traumas, Madison got real about the highs and lows that come with being a child star and living that famed life. She didn’t hold back, and the insights she shared are pretty eye-opening.
“I have lived a very interesting, special, weird life. I’m really grateful for everything that’s happened but I also mourn my childhood sometimes.”
When shedding light on how being in the spotlight has impacted her vision for the future, the former child star said: “I remember saying to my therapist, ‘I’m prepared to live like this forever, and I’m not excited for that life.'”
She continued, “I feel like the worst part of it has passed, but it’s just scary to think I can go back there at any point, that’s what frightens me the most,” Beer revealed.
