Madonna is used to shocking her fans – especially in recent years with her impromptu NSFW lingerie photoshoots and alleged cosmetic treatments – but we don’t think even the most die-hard Madonna fans who have been trained to expect the unexpected were prepared for the TikTok video the 63-year-old music legend posted on Sunday, April 3rd, just before The Grammys.
In the 13-second video, which one fan called “completely unsettling,” the Queen of Pop can be seen with four braids in her hair, wearing a black sheer top and several layers of silver chains and necklaces. She appears to be rocking back and forth in the short clip, eventually resulting in an extreme closeup of her face. Although she doesn’t seem to be wearing a lot of makeup (if any!) her fans were unanimously in agreement that something didn’t look right with her face! But her swollen lips and puffy face were the least of some fans’ concerns, as the nature of the short clip was confusing and scary to so many!
"Great! How am I supposed to close my eyes and fall asleep now!?" one fan sarcastically commented on the TikTok video. "This honestly scared me I’m not gonna lie," wrote one frightened fan, while another said, "I’m just going to remember how fabulous she was in the 90s. She was an icon." "What is she on? Please get help!" another fan begged, while another concerned fan asked, "Is she okay, though?" "I’ve loved Madonna since I was little … huge fan… love her … but this is a hard pass… what has she done to herself?" questioned another stan.
Although Madonna deleted the video after less than 24 hours of it being on her TikTok (we assume due to all of the negative comments) she posted another video from what appears to be the same day as she is wearing the same outfit and hairstyle to her Instagram on April 4th. The video depicts her getting a tattoo in honor of her late mother, which reads "maman," and she captioned it: "My turn to bleed for my mother………………" followed by a red heart emoji.
