Instant Noodles Are Being Pulled From Grocery Stores In California As The FDA Warns Eating Them Could Be Fatal

New India Bazar Recalls Maggi 2-Minute Noodles

New India Bazar, a grocery store based in Milpitas, California, has recalled Maggi 2-minute noodles due to the fact that peanuts are not listed on the packaging. This poses a serious risk to people with nut allergies, which could even be fatal in some cases.

These products were sold in New Bazar stores in Santa Clara, Milpitas, Pleasanton, Dublin, Fremont, and San Jose.

The recalled noodles include 2,400 280-gram Maggi 2-minute noodles packages and 1,200 560-gram packages. The 280-gram packs are labeled with expiration dates throughout December of 2023, while the 560-gram varieties have expiration dates in January of 2024.  Additionally, all affected packages have lot codes of 31159939CA and 4354M56.

If you recently purchased one of these noodle packs and the numbers match up, you can return them to the point of purchase for a full refund.

So far, no illnesses have been linked to this recall. However, staying on top of recalls like this is an important step to take towards greater health and safety for you and your family.

Similarly, Gaw's Gourmet Foods recently recalled over 1,800 sandwiches whose packaging failed to list sesame. Another recall earlier this year was issued on chocolate coins that contained undeclared milk.
