The Malicious Apps You Should Delete From Your iPhone Immediately Because They Can Steal Your Information

Even when you take smart steps to ensure you are only downloading approved apps from the Apple Store, there may be times when you find yourself with an app that could be up to no good. Perhaps this app isn’t going as far as some others when it comes to invading your privacy, but it may still be collecting your data without your consent.

Be very careful when you’re about to download one of these two apps. There are some good, reliable ones out there, but finding them involves reading plenty of reviews and rating and making sure the app is legit.

1. Battery Saver Apps


If you have concerns about your data being collected, you should stay away from battery saver apps. In order to function and do their jobs, these apps may track your location, you app usage patterns (in order to provide recommendations on how to save battery power), info about your phone’s CPU, RAM usage, and screen brightness, and which apps are running in the background. Getting intel on the permissions each app is taking and how they track you also helps these battery saver apps make recommendation for you. If you’re uncomfortable with an app knowing so much, battery saver apps may not be the best apps for you.

2. Fake VPN Apps


Fake VPN apps can be very dangerous. They collect a ton of information about you, including your online activities (like websites you visit), personal information, and more. But the biggest problem is that these apps often sell your data to third-party advertisers to turn a profit. They can also start serving you ads from third-party sources and harmful malware software to your device. If you want to use a VPN to keep your IP address private, make sure you do your homework and choose one that is reputable. Chances are high it will be one that requires you to pay for it.
