Margot Robbie just graced the New York City set of The Tonight Show and wowed fans in a stunning blue, retro, silk dress! The Once Upon A Time…in Hollywood star, 32, donned a polka-dot-patterened ‘prairiecore’ gown by Alessandra Rich on the talk show this week, showing off not only her incredible figure but also her affinity for vintage-inspired fashion.

The Birds of Prey alum’s elegant dress featured a plunging neckline with a thick, white, frilly collar, a cerulean hue with delicate black polka dots adorning the fabric, structured shoulders, ruffled sleeves, a cinched waist design with gold buttons, pockets, and a hemline that eneded just above her ankles. Along with her eye-catching garment, Robbie rocked white leather heels and accessorized her get-up with small gold hoop earrings.

To top off her ensemble, the Barbie actress wore her long, layered blonde tresses down, parted in the middle and styled straight. As for her makeup look, Robbie went for subtle, blended black eyeliner, voluminous lashes, a glossy nude lip, and rosy blush along her high cheekbones.

The stunner promoted her upcoming historical comedy film, Amsterdam, during her appearance, and made the audience laugh as she told a humorous story to host Jimmy Fallon about a time where she had a memorable run-in with the police when making the movie. While on the set of her latest project, Robbie explained, the director, David O. Russell, was begged to stop filming by a police officer.

“(David) doesn’t want to stop and he could go forever, and so could Christian Bale. They’re both so dedicated to this film and their craft that David never called cut on this film. So, technically we didn’t ever really stop,” she said. “It was the last day of shooting and Christian was saying his dialogue and David’s there and he’s directing… but the permit was up. We were in Pasadena and the time was up and we were meant to clear out. But we wouldn’t. The producers are freaking out and David’s still going, Christian’s still acting.” Eventually, as Robbie continued, an officer from the local police department had to step in.

“I could see this policewoman being like, ‘What is the word people use in the film business to make everything stop?’ She was like, ‘Enough! Stop!’ and then she was like, ‘Wrap! Everyone’s wrapped,'” Robbie recalled. “Everyone heard the word ‘wrap’ and put down the equipment and started packing up. And I was like, ‘Wow, a policewoman from Pasadena just wrapped this film.'” Robbie also made it a point to sing “Happy Birthday” to Fallon and gift him with fairy bread, charming viewers everywhere.

While fans know little so far about the plot of Amsterdam, Robbie dubbed it to be an “epic comedic thriller” and “very funny.” Amsterdam, which also stars Christian Bale, John David Washington, Chris Rock, and Anya Taylor-Joy, is set to open in U.S. cinemas on October 7th. Based on Robbie’s epic style and her acclaimed acting talents, we can’t wait to see it!
