Margot Robbie Wears Soft Pink Chanel Dress To 2023 Golden Globes
The 32-year-old I, Tonya actress turned heads when she floated along the red carpet, wearing a Chantilly lace and silk tulle Chanel gown which was reportedly inspired by a similar dress from its Fall/Winter 2022 Haute Couture collection. It featured a chevron halter-neck top with a sparkling brooch in the center of the neckline, and fringe trim detailing on the skirt.
People reports that the dress, which can only be described as a masterpiece, took a staggering 750 hours to create – most likely due to its 30,000 embroidered elements such as sequins, bugle beads and feathers. We are *not* kidding!
The Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood actress finished off her look with some white gold and diamond earrings and a statement 18K white gold and diamond 'Soleil Ganse' ring, also by the French fashion house, while her blonde hair was expertly styled in some soft beach waves. Naturally, her soft, understated makeup was also achieved by using Chanel's iconic products, which included a soft rosy pink blush and matching lipstick. Her soft subtle nails were achieved with products from the late Queen Elizabeth II's go-to brand, Essie, specifically its 'Here To Stay' base coat and a layer of 'Hi Maintenance.' Obsessed!
The Suicide Squad actress has really been experimenting with her style over the past few months, which some fashion-conscious fans have chalked down to the fact that she branched out a little further than her go-to Chanel, which she has worn abundantly since becoming a global brand ambassador in 2018. However, we hope all fans will agree that there is nothing safe and expected with this look, and we would *love* to see more of the same this awards season!
Margot Gears Up For 'Barbie' Release This Summer
Perhaps Margot's decision to wear a Barbiecore ensemble has everything to do with the upcoming Barbie movie being released later this year, for which she plays the title character. If you'll recall, Margot and Ryan Gosling, who is playing the role of Barbie's beau, Ken, have been filming the Greta Gerwig directed movie since last year, to the amusement of their fans, with the first official teaser trailer being released last month.
It definitely whet our appetites for the movie, which is slated for release on July 21st, 2023. We predict that there will be a *lot* more Barbiecore looks where this came from this year – we can't even begin to imagine what the Barbie premiere looks are going to be like, but we are beyond excited!
