After turning the Golden Globe Awards into a Barbie pink extravaganza, Margot Robbie decided to keep us on our toes by switching to a ravishing red gown for the Critics Choice Awards in Santa Monica, California.

The Barbie leading lady owned the red carpet in a strapless leather Balmain masterpiece adorned with a neckline full of roses, a ruched bodice that gave off serious wet fabric vibes (in the chicest way possible), and a hemline that swept the floor like a Hollywood dream. And let’s talk bling—she went all out with a jaw-dropping almost 100-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond pieces. The Wolf Of Wall Street icon sported 60-carat oval diamond earrings, perfectly paired with a giant 35-carat oval diamond ring.

To complete the look, her blonde locks were elegantly styled away from her face, flowing into a tousled low ponytail with two playful face-framing fringes.

Joining her on the red carpet was her husband Tom Ackerley, who struck a pose in a sleek pinstripe black suit paired with a crisp white button-up shirt.

The Australian native talked to Access Hollywood about how she feels after the massive success of Barbie, to which she replied, "You've got to remember to really take it in in the moment, because it goes so fast and then before you know it you're back working on the next thing and you forget you had a real moment to celebrate something and it's so rare, it's just a miracle that a movie even gets made and to have it be appreciated too is just, you got to stop and smell the roses," as she looked down at her gown full of roses.

Barbie Takes Over The Critics Choice Awards

Robbie scored a Best Actress nomination for her leading role in Barbie, but the sought-after trophy ended up in the hands of Emma Stone, recognized for her stellar portrayal of Bella Baxter in Poor Things.

However, Barbie still celebrated a triumphant night with six victories at the ceremony, including clinching top honors for best comedy and best song ('I'm Just Ken'). The announcement for best comedy occurred during a commercial break, denying the filmmakers their moment on stage. However, host Chelsea Handler made amends later in the show by inviting Margot Robbie along with writer and director Greta Gerwig to grace the stage in a belated celebration.

“Thank you, Chelsea. We love you so much. You know, when everyone is like ‘Oh, this is so unexpected. This is actually unexpected and was not a part of the show.’ We were very grateful nonetheless and I’d like Greta to talk," said the blonde beauty.

Gerwig said in one snippet of her speech: “We were excited in our chairs. And it’s nice to be up here. Thank you to everyone that helped make the movie. I laughed during most takes because of our beautiful cast, Margot and Ryan and America [Ferrera], who got to be as brilliant as they are.”
